When people talk about AI agent cases in 2026, there is a lot of noise and little evidence. In this article I gather what I have been seeing firsthand in companies that have moved from pilot to productive operation in LATAM, with metrics verified at board level rather than in marketing. I will show five real cases (with details anonymized where confidentiality requires) across different sectors: banking, retail, healthcare, logistics, and education. The intent is not to sell hype: it is to show what kind of impact an agent generates when it is well designed, well measured, and well governed. And, most importantly, to show where implementations failed so the reader does not repeat mistakes that already cost dearly in the region.
