With the advent of 5G and 6G, Ultra-Wideband (UWB) is being increasingly utilized in smart home IoT applications due to its low power consumption, high precision, and resistance to interference. However, current UWB gesture controls still struggle with direction detection, setup complexity, and positioning accuracy. This study addresses these issues with a dual-transceiver controller for intuitive gestures, an adaptive calibration algorithm for automatic setup, and a multi-base station method to enhance accuracy. Experiments demonstrate that the system achieves fast, precise, and scalable gesture control, significantly enhancing UWB’s practical value in smart home IoT.
