Structure-induced pseudo gaps in the electronic density of states of liquid and amorphous alloys are studied by means of photoelectron spectroscopy. Due to two maxima in the structure factor below 2kF, two pseudo gaps in the valence band are observed, far below and at the Fermi energy EF. The latter gets less pronounced from the amorphous to the liquid state, and disappears within the liquid state with rising temperature as the corresponding maximum in the structure factor disappears.
