Data on hospital mortality, predictors, and five-year survival rates were collected and analyzed.
Overall in-hospital mortality was 18%.
Independent predictors of mortality included age and left ventricular failure.
Five-year survival in the cohort was 50%, with similar predictors of mortality at follow-up.
