Business schools must undergo curriculum internationalization to stay competitive in the business education marketplace, to meet accreditation requirements, and to provide the business community with a well prepared labor force. Coincident with the need to internationalize have been two major national trends within the United States-reductions and limitations of funding for higher education and the increased use of distance learning. Distance learning has been viewed as an effective method to reach the greatest number of students at the least cost and thus maximize the education dollar. Technology changes have moved distance learning from an environment where teacher and student have limited interaction to one that approaches the traditional classroom. Existing methods of internationalizing the business curriculum can be applied and utilized in the distance learning environment. A model for internationalizing distance learning courses is provided.
