Review examines hygiene and nutrition's impact on health in school-aged children, suggesting improvements needed.
The health of school-aged children is strongly influenced by hygiene practices and nutritional status. In Uzbekistan, rapid social and economic changes have affected children's lifestyles, dietary habits, and health behaviors. This review examines the role of personal hygiene, school sanitation, and balanced nutrition in maintaining the health of primary and secondary school students. Particular attention is given to hand hygiene, access to safe drinking water, dietary diversity, and the prevention of nutrition-related disorders. Strengthening hygiene education and improving school nutrition programs can significantly contribute to better health outcomes among Uzbek schoolchildren.
