Letter data article reports Nūn occurrences in Qur'anic ayat, suggesting structural significance.
Nūn - ن in the Qur’an Canonical, Chronological, God-Filtered, and Initialed-Sūrah Letter Tables Manual 2004 Letter-Search Method, Author-Held Verification, and the Al-Raḥmān Threshold Proof This article preserves and publishes Mahmood Ahmed’s Nūn / ن letter table, compiled on 11/2–3/1425 corresponding to 2004-12-14/15. The original table was created by manually searching the letter Nūn in a Microsoft Word Qur’an file in 2004. The same Qur’an file was used for the author’s earlier Ṣād / ص table. The present publication preserves that historical manual-count provenance while supplying normalized CSV datasets for public audit. The study is a letter-data article, not a root-word article and not a general Qur’anic numerology essay. Its primary object is the occurrence of the Arabic letter Nūn / ن in Qur’anic ayat, arranged through several audit layers: canonical order, chronological order, Allāh/God-filtered order, and initialed-Sūrah order. Core Dataset Findings The canonical Nūn table records 5,861 Nūn-bearing Ayah rows and 27,375 total Nūn letters. The God-filtered canonical table records 1,895 Nūn-bearing Ayat containing Allāh/God, with 11,723 Nūn letters in those rows: 11,723 = 19 × 617 The table records 2,766 Allāh/God occurrences within Nūn-bearing Ayat. The initialed-Sūrah Nūn table records 2,672 Nūn-bearing rows and 13,164 Nūn letters in the initialed-Sūrah layer. Sūrah 68, Nūn / The Pen, contains 133 Nūn letters: 133 = 19 × 7 Structural and Author-Proof Observations The article includes several internal author-proof checkpoints derived from the table. The first checkpoint appears at Chronological Nūn Row 151, located at Q 87:7 in Sūrah 87, Al-Aʿlā / The Most High. This verse contains the only occurrence of Allāh/God in Sūrah 87: إلا ما شاء الله. The reference 87:7 forms 877, and 877 is the 151st prime, returning the verse reference to Row 151. The same row carries the 347th Nūn in the chronological Qur’an count. The number 347 points to Q 3:47, which in the author’s numbered-Ayah Allāh/God count contains the 329th occurrence of Allāh/God. The number 329 is the GV of Al-Raḥmān. This is retained as a qualitative checkpoint: the strength is not the quantity of connected numbers, but the convergence of Row 151, Q 87:7, Al-Aʿlā / The Most High, divine will, the 151st prime, the 347th Nūn, and the Al-Raḥmān value 329. Another checkpoint occurs at Q 2:98. In the canonical Nūn table, Q 2:98 appears as Row 104. Because Sūrah 2 is the first initialed Sūrah, Q 2:98 is also the 98th initialed-Sūrah Ayah. The verse contains Nūn and includes two occurrences of Allāh/God, bringing the cumulative Allāh/God count in Nūn-bearing Ayat to 53. This creates a compact 98 / 53 checkpoint within the table. The article also records a retained 428-contributed verification note concerning Q 8:10. The note identifies the 19,151st Nūn in chronological order at Q 8:10, in the word NASR. The author verified that this Nūn checkpoint was correct, that Q 8:10 is the 53rd occurrence of the root NSR in book order, and that the 151st occurrence of NSR is in Q 61:14. The same note records that Q 8:10 is the 428th Ṣād-bearing verse according to the author’s Ṣād table. This is retained only as a discrete verification bridge between Nūn, NSR, Ṣād, 53, 151, and 428, and not as support for a collapsed three-person 36:14 framework. The article further preserves a 2005 Al-Raḥmān threshold proof linking the cumulative counts of Qāf, Ṣād, and Nūn at the end of Sūrah 54 / beginning of Sūrah 55 with the phrase “The Almighty.” The proof records: 6270 + 1784 + 24346 + (1120 + 128) = 32648 = 616 × 53 This is retained as an author-proof and analytical note showing that the Nūn table was already embedded in a wider Qāf–Ṣād–Nūn / Al-Raḥmān framework in 2005. Purpose of the Record This record is intended to preserve the author’s 2004 manual Nūn count, publish the normalized audit datasets, and explain the main structural observations in a transparent scholarly narrative. The article distinguishes direct table observations from later author-proof interpretations and avoids importing weak or unsupported external frameworks into the primary dataset analysis.
