Masquerading bundle branch block is associated with extensive conduction system damage (often bifascicular or trifascicular block), posterolateral myocardial infarction, and marked cardiac hypertrophy.
Answers are grounded in this paper and cite their sources.
These case reports should not change practice; they leave open mechanistic links between masquerading BBB and extensive conduction damage or hypertrophy.
