An Enterprise Data Pathway to Industry 4.0

In a previous Technology Manager's Notebook article [ibid., vol 46(1), 32–33], we set the stage in gaining value from data analytics and evolving to an "Industry 4.0" environment. We introduced the concept of a new value chain beginning with data to decisions and culture change. In this article, we describe the three possible stages of Industry 4.0. Afterwards, a framework that shows Enterprise pathway to Industry 4.0 (14.0) is presented.
