In recent years, the global landscape has experienced rapid and transformative changes across multiple domains, including economics, healthcare, transportation, agriculture, defense, and entertainment. These shifts are predominantly driven by advancements in various technologies. Organizations that provide these key technologies are increasingly adopting roles that extend beyond mere technology provision, becoming integral participants in industries and business ecosystems. Consequently, they contribute directly to the ultimate value delivered to customers. Among these transformative technologies, artificial intelligence (AI) has garnered considerable attention for its significant impact on both personal and business sectors. This paper aims to define a model for the roles of AI providers within business ecosystems. To achieve this, it first analyzes the structure of business ecosystems that emerge around new key technologies. Subsequently, it introduces AI technology and the distinctive business ecosystems associated with it. Finally, the paper presents a conceptual model that delineates the roles of AI providers within various business ecosystems, accompanied by examples from leading AI providers worldwide to illustrate the conceptual model's practical application.
