Demonstrates improved dynamic response in dual active bridge converters, suggesting effective current stress optimization.
The dual active bridge (DAB) converter operating under extended‐phase‐shift (EPS) control has been widely applied in fields such as DC microgrids due to its ability to regulate internal energy flow and reduce current stress. Although some internal phase‐shift control strategies effectively mitigate current stress, they significantly increase system control complexity. Conversely, external phase‐shift control strategies neglect the impact of internal phase‐shifting on the system, resulting in slower dynamic response. To address this, this paper proposes a unified current stress optimization control law for internal phase‐shifting based on the large‐signal tan‐sigmoid function (hyperbolic tangent function tanh) model of the DAB converter. For external phase shifting, a small‐signal tanh function model is established, proposing a feedforward‐compensated linear active disturbance rejection control (FC‐LADRC) strategy. Simulation and experimental results demonstrate that the proposed FC‐LADRC significantly enhances the system's dynamic response performance while achieving current stress optimization.
