Kinetic model reveals electron–molecule interaction effects on propane oxidation in air, highlighting process characteristics.
A kinetic model of propane oxidation by air in a dielectric-barrier discharge has been developed, incorporating effective rate constants for electron–molecule interactions with the feed mixture components. A possible mechanism and process characteristics are discussed.
