Guidelines outline objectives and governance for the MEDAE network, promoting agroecology in the Mediterranean.
D5.2 deliverable - Working Package 5. One of the objectives of the NATAE project is to create the MEDAE network (MEDiterranean multi-actor network on AgroEcology), a unique knowledge-sharing and capacity-building community on agroecology in the Mediterranean. By bringing together stakeholders from different types of institutions, disciplines, backgrounds and scales, the MEDAE network aims to bridge the gap between contexts, policies, local, national and international knowledge, and empirical and scientific know-how. It will stimulate exchanges and give a strong, unified voice to all stakeholders committed to the agroecological transition in the Mediterranean. The MEDAE network will have no formal existence, at least during the first few years, but will operate according to the guidelines set out below. The guidelines comprise several sections detailing the network's objectives, membership, governance, activities, preferred modes of communication and economic model. These guidelines will be tested for 2 years, then reviewed and possibly adjusted in 2026.
