Review highlights the pharmacological properties of Schiff bases and natural products, suggesting new drug development paths.
Abstract-Green chemistry offers innovative and environmentally friendly approaches to synthetic chemistry, emphasizing the reduction of toxic compounds and volatile solvent emissions. With a focus on lowering emissions of volatile solvents and hazardous substances, greenchemistry provides creative and eco-friendly methods for synthetic chemistry. Due to theircapacity to form metal complexes, Schiff bases—which are created when primary aminescondense with carbonyl compounds—are adaptable substances with important uses inanalytical chemistry, materials science, and medicine. Bioactive molecules with therapeuticpotential are still produced by natural products, which are sourced from a variety ofbiological sources and have historically been essential to drug discovery. The chemistry, synthesis, and wide range of pharmacological actions of Schiff bases and natural products—including their antibacterial, anticancer, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory qualities—are highlighted in this review. A promising avenue for creating innovative, potent, and long-lasting medicinal medicines is the combination of Schiff bases and natural materials.=
