Demonstrates enhanced yields of indolines in azoindole and indole reaction, suggesting efficient methods for complex molecule synthesis.
Catalytic asymmetric dearomatization represents a powerful means to convert flat aromatic compounds into stereochemically well-defined three-dimensional molecular architectures. Herein, we report a chiral phosphoric acid-catalyzed nucleophilic aromatic addition of azoindoles with indoles, enabling asymmetric dearomatization to deliver a broad array of C2-tertiary stereogenic indolines in good to excellent yields with uniform enantioselectivity and complete Z -selectivity.
