164 consecutive patients (median age 56, 22% female) hospitalized for heart failure, evaluated before and 3 months after a structured patient education programme.

Intervention

Structured patient education programme consisting of an approximately 60-minute interactive lecture led by ESC-certified HF specialists and a specialist nurse, followed by a discussion.
