Review highlights mechanochemical methods for C─halogen bond transformations, emphasizing green synthesis strategies.
Mechanochemistry has emerged as a green and efficient synthetic strategy, enabling challenging transformations under solvent‐free or minimal solvent conditions through mechanical grinding, while enhancing site‐ and stereoselective control. This approach offers novel pathways for modular and efficient synthesis of pharmaceuticals, functional molecules, and advanced materials. However, a systematic summary of mechanochemical transformations involving aryl and alkyl halides remains lacking. In this review, we present a critical and comprehensive overview of mechanochemical functionalization of C─halogen (C─X, X═F, Cl, Br, I) and C─pseudo‐halogen (C─OSO 2 R) bonds reported over the past decade, highlighting their applications in the formation of diverse C─Y bonds (Y═C, N, S, D, O, B, Si). Special emphasis is put on various mechanochemical transformation paths and proposed mechanisms.
