Develops a current-mode universal filter that showcases diverse responses based on input signals, suggesting practical applications in circuit design.
A current-mode universal filter based on the second-generation current conveyors (CCIIs) is developed in this study. The developed filter consists of two positive-type single-output CCIIs, one negative-type single-output CCII, two grounded resistors, one floating resistor, and two grounded capacitors. It provides high output impedance currents. By selecting three input current signals, the universal filter responses can be easily obtained. Nevertheless, the filter needs a passive matching problem for some filter responses and does not provide low input impedance. Some simulations via the SPICE program and a few experimental studies are given.
