At EVRAZ NTMK PJSC, a project is being implemented in the wheel and tire shop to increase production volumes due to rising demand for locomotive tires. The issue of mass production of tires made of grade 4 steel with enhanced mechanical properties relative to grade 2 is being studied. Equipment modernization work is underway aimed at improving the quality control of manufactured products.
