The Indian Knowledge System (IKS) represents a vast repository of intellectual traditions developed in India over centuries. These traditions encompass fields such as mathematics, linguistics, medicine, astronomy, and philosophy. In the contemporary digital era, Information Technology (IT) has become a fundamental driver of innovation across sectors. The integration of traditional knowledge with modern technological systems has recently gained attention among researchers and academicians. This paper explores the potential role of Indian Knowledge Systems in advancing Information Technology. It discusses how ancient Indian contributions in mathematics, grammar, logic, and medicine can influence emerging technological fields such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Data Analytics. The study also highlights the advantages, challenges, and future possibilities of integrating traditional knowledge frameworks with modern computational models. The findings suggest that Indian Knowledge Systems can contribute to innovative, ethical, and culturally relevant technological solutions.
