Synthesis and characterization of heteroleptic frameworks revealing unique luminescent properties in luminescent materials.
Abstract 3D isostructural metal-organic frameworks [Ln2(bdc-Cl)x(bdc-I)(3–x)(H2O)2], where Ln = (1) La, (2) Pr, (3) Sm, and (4) Eu; bdc-Cl = 2-chloroterephthalic acid, bdc-I = 2-iodoterephthalic acid, have been obtained. Their crystal and molecular structure has been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The luminescent properties of the Eu(III)-based framework have been studied; the quantum yield was 1.3%, and the luminescence lifetime was 0.472 ms.
