Experimental series developed new epoxy composites with improved mechanical characteristics, suggesting potential for better electrical applications.
Results are presented for a series of newly-developed epoxy composite compounds for electrical engineering applications with an emphasis on improving mechanical characteristics with maintaining the required electrical insulation properties. A unified experimental series of samples formed with the use of the same technology based on an epoxy matrix with varying filler types and an additional basic sample with no fillers have been made. A set of testing for electrical parameters and mechanical characteristics (tension and compression) has been carried out. The values of electrophysical and strength parameters for all the compositions have been obtained with comparing the filler nature and morphology effect exerted on the material parameters.
