Analyzes energy demand during emergencies in urban centers, highlighting key challenges.
The characteristics of electricity and heat demand in the Minato Mirai 21 district were estimated and analyzed. Electricity demand under normal and emergency conditions showed a nearly linear relationship. In contrast, heat demand exhibited significant seasonal variability during normal conditions but remained relatively stable during emergencies. Observations of temporal and spatial imbalances in occupant distribution underscored the necessity for effective evacuation guidance. Additionally, heat demand was higher during the daytime in both summer and winter, indicating peak energy requirements during these periods.
