Observational
Transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) aims to alter the disease course in severe aortic stenosis (AS) by increasing the aortic valve orifice area and reducing transaortic gradients, thereby relieving left ventricular pressure overload, prolonging survival, and improving health status. Invasive pressure–volume loop (PVL) analysis is the gold standard for evaluating the mechanical properties of the heart. However, the early haemodynamic impact of TAVI on biventricular performance remains poorly characterised.
