Does Transcatheter Tricuspid Valve Replacement (TTVR) alter acute right ventricular functional reserve in patients with severe tricuspid regurgitation?
This study outlines a methodology for evaluating acute right ventricular functional reserve immediately following transcatheter tricuspid valve replacement.
Transcatheter Tricuspid Valve Replacement (TTVR) is a transformative therapy for severe tricuspid regurgitation (TR). However, the right ventricle (RV) acute response to the sudden elimination of the regurgitant pop-off and the resulting increased effective afterload remains a critical clinical focus. We evaluated acute RV functional reserve utilizing serial right heart catheterizations (RHC) and high-fidelity intra-procedural RV waveform analysis immediately pre- and post- TTVR implant.

Amoroso et al. (2026) conducted an observational in Severe tricuspid regurgitation. Transcatheter Tricuspid Valve Replacement (TTVR) vs. Pre-TTVR baseline was evaluated on Acute right ventricular functional reserve. The abstract describes a study evaluating acute right ventricular functional reserve pre- and post-TTVR, but reports no quantitative results.
