ABSTRACT With growing energy demand and depletion of fossil fuels, renewable energy development is crucial for achieving dual‐carbon goals. This paper focuses on small‐signal modelling and stability analysis of a grid‐connected wind‐PV‐storage system. First, small‐signal state‐space models are developed for each subsystem, considering controllers, phase‐locked loops and network interactions. These models are transformed via multi‐coordinate consistency transformation to obtain interface models, which are then integrated into an overall system model. Second, root locus and participation factor analyses are applied to examine how controller parameters, phase‐locked loop settings and the short‐circuit ratio affect the small‐signal stability of the integrated system, thereby identifying feasible parameter ranges. Finally, a system model is implemented in PSCAD/EMTDC to validate the theoretical analysis. The developed model provides a theoretical basis for selecting controller and circuit parameters in practical wind‐PV‐storage grid‐integrated projects, offering foundational guidance for engineering applications.
