Demonstrates improved hydrogen production in Bi2O3 materials, indicating potential for energy conversion.
To obtain new photocatalytic materials with visible light response, Bi 2 O 3 photocatalytic materials with various morphologies were synthesized via a freeze-assisted coprecipitation method. The effects of preparation process and calcination treatment on the morphology and hydrogen production capacity of Bi 2 O 3 photocatalytic materials were studied. The experimental results show that the morphology of Bi 2 O 3 photocatalytic materials can be controlled by freezing and adjusting calcination temperature. Under the conditions of 1 g bismuth nitrate pentahydrate, 0.48 g NaOH, 0.63 g H3BTC and 400 °C, the flaky β-Bi 2 O 3 (B 1 N 0.48 T 400 ) photocatalytic material composed of particles can be obtained, and it has the best photocatalytic H 2 evolution capacity (0.04332 mmol·g -1 ·h -1 ). Because of its unique flake structure, efficient separation of photo-generated pairs, fast carrier transport rate and high conductivity, the β-Bi 2 O 3 (B 1 N 0.48 T 400 ) photocatalytic material has a wide application prospect in photocatalysis, pollution control, energy conversion, antibacterial treatment and other related fields.
