Randomized trial explores harmonious combinations to enhance system viability, suggesting promising frameworks for sustainable development.
This paper introduces the concept of Harmonious Combinations as one of the fundamental concepts within the framework of Vitology as an interdisciplinary research program centered on system viability. Harmonious combinations are understood as coordinated configurations of structures, interactions, relationships, meanings, and developmental processes that preserve the Norm of Harmony while progressively strengthening long-term viability. Unlike approaches that interpret harmony primarily as balance or stability, Vitology considers harmonious combinations to be dynamic systemic configurations continuously discovered through Viability Navigation within the Space of Harmony. Particular attention is devoted to the relationship between Harmonious Combinations and the Norm of Harmony, the Integral Norm of Harmony, Awareness (Aw), Coordination (Con), Coordinated Systemic Integrity (CON), the Integral Model of System Viability (Aw → Con → CON), Feedback, Self-Regulation, Regeneration, Adaptation, Integral Systemic Conscience, Systemic Noise (Noise), and the role of artificial intelligence in discovering increasingly viable systemic configurations.
