Demonstrates the synthesis of indole-dithiocarbamates and naphthol-carbamates, suggesting streamlined access to diverse sulfur-rich compounds.
A metal-free divergent C–H functionalization strategy has been developed for the synthesis of indole-dithiocarbamates and naphthol-carbamo(dithioperoxo)thioates. This protocol employs readily accessible and bench-stable dithiocarbamoyl succinimides as highly efficient electrophilic sulfur-transfer reagents. The method showcases broad substrate generality, tolerating aliphatic, aromatic, cyclic, and N -heteroaromatic dithiocarbamates, and proceeds with excellent regioselectivity across both reaction manifolds. This operationally simple and scalable protocol provides streamlined access to structurally diverse sulfur-rich architectures, underscoring the synthetic value of this transformation.
