Abstract

In intelligent manufacturing, massive lifecycle data must be effectively organized to enable data-driven quality management. The bill of materials (BOM) is a common tool for organizing and managing quality data. However, traditional BOM systems suffer from data redundancy, limited accessibility, and weak cross-stage interaction. To address these issues, this study proposes a dual domain BOM structure tree model based on the symbiotic relationship between the product structure tree and process structure tree. The model integrates data across design, process planning, manufacturing, inspection, and service stages to improve lifecycle data organization and utilization. Implementation methods for product troubleshooting and problem source tracing are developed, including acceleration algorithms for quality problem resolution. A case study in a helicopter manufacturing enterprise validates the approach, demonstrating enhanced data utilization, faster quality problem resolution, and improved manufacturing efficiency compared with existing practices.
