Demonstrates high enantioselectivity in synthesis of 2,3-dihydrooxazoles, indicating a novel method for chiral compounds.
The enantioselective synthesis of C2 chiral 2,3-dihydrooxazoles persists as a challenge, primarily owing to racemization via aminal ring opening at the C2 chiral center. Herein, we reported an efficient acylaziridine rearrangement reaction involving 2-(1-tosylalkyl)naphthols and N, O -disulfonyl hydroxylamines for constructing C2 chiral 2,3-dihydrooxazole skeletons with high enantioselectivity. This method not only illustrates the first asymmetric rearrangement of acylaziridines, but also expands the application of acylaziridine rearrangement and provides a new approach for the synthesis of the C2 chiral oxazoline skeleton.
