What lies beyond the universe?” is a foundational question throughout human civilization. The three mainstream explanatory paradigms — multiverse, higher-dimensional space, and simulation hypothesis — share a unified logical flaw: they evade ontological derivation of cosmic boundaries, deferring the ultimate existential question to unverifiable higher-order external entities, rendering their logical structure isomorphic to pre-modern theology. This paper does not provide concrete conjectures about “spatial objects beyond the universe.” Its core task is to complete an ontological reorientation of the question itself: “beyond the universe” is not a problem of spatial extension, but a problem of cognitive hierarchy; the path to resolution lies not in outward expansion of observational scale, but in inward deconstruction of the topological structure of cognition. Using the classical dimensional metaphor of “ants on a two-dimensional surface” as point of entry, this paper reconstructs the interpretive framework and revises the binary opposition of the original PFUSRC-082: the “self” is not an on/off binary switch, but a continuous shielding-transmission cognitive spectrum formed by the projection of wisdom through biological carriers. From social insects to cetaceans and corvids to humans, there exists no clear evolutionary fault line of self-awareness, only a continuous gradient of recursive cognitive depth. This paper constructs a three-tier cognitive reference ladder-L1/L2/L3 — defining it not as fixed species drawers but as contour lines on the cognitive spectrum. The same subject may float and transition between tiers depending on context. The paper further proposes a multi-dimensional wisdom manifestation framework: L1 carriers can achieve higher-order manifestations in morphological optimization, sensory detection precision, instinctive direct response, and collective coordination efficiency — dimensions where L3 humans cannot replicate comparable performance. L3 possesses advantage only in the single dimension of recursive iteration. Complete wisdom is the sum of all manifestation dimensions; no hierarchical superiority exists among tiers. Through the topological “self-refractive-index” model, this paper explains the positive correlation between shielding intensity and recursive depth, and defines the effective boundary of recursive cognition in conjunction with the 55-curvature-anchor topological closure condition specified in PFUSRC-035.
