Modification of E. Coli Asparaginase With 2,4-Bis(o-Methoxypolyethylene Glycol)-6-Chloro-S-Triazine(activated Peg2); Disappearance of Binding Ability Towards Anti-Serum and Retention of Enzymic Activity

Asparaginase from E. coli was modified with activated PEG2 which was synthesized from monomethoxypolyethylene glycol and cyanuric chloride. The PEG2-modified asparaginase had no binding ability towards anti-asparaginase serum but retained 11% of the enzymic activity(GOT method) of the native asparaginase.
