This work examines kinetic structure degeneration's impact on thermodynamics, indicating new foundational insights.
It is a common observation that everything tends from order to disorder. The second law of thermodynamics summarises this tendency as the increase of entropy. Building on this observation, the present work treats the kinetic structure of matter as a variable within the framework of classical mechanics and examines the consequences of its degeneration to zero. The result shows that when the kinetic structure degenerates completely, matter falls irreversibly into a state devoid of physical meaning. We further promote the kinetic structure to a dynamical field, establish the degeneration field equation, and prove the equivalence between the irreversibility of degeneration and the second law of thermodynamics under quasistatic conditions. The equation yields exponential decay of ordered kinetic energy, with theoretical predictions matching experimental data across twenty orders of magnitude in time scale. The paper provides an open, reproducible, cross-domain computational scheme for extracting the equation's parameters, and specifies extensive falsification paths.
