Dahl et al. (1974) studied Myocardial necrosis (n=42). Direct current countershock with varying paddle electrode sizes and time intervals vs. Different paddle sizes (4.3, 8.0, 12.8 cm) and time intervals (15 sec, 1 min, 3 min) was evaluated on Myocardial necrosis quantitated by precordial electrocardiographic mapping and gross/microscopic examination.
