This study aims to analyze long-term outcomes and survival rates following traumatic hip dislocation.
Retrospective assessment of patients treated for traumatic hip dislocation from 2008 to 2021 at a Level I Trauma Center.
Patients were evaluated using Harris Hip Score (HHS) and Lequesne score during clinical follow-up.
Fracture–dislocations classified using Stewart and Milford and Pipkin’s classification systems.
Thirteen patients reported excellent or good outcomes in the HHS and Lequesne score.
Post-traumatic osteoarthritis developed in 10 patients (22.7%), leading to 22.7% requiring hip replacement within 2 years.
Type of reduction and trauma mechanism had no significant impact on long-term prognosis (p = 0.463).
