Case Report (n=1)
This case report illustrates the successful guideline-directed management of an elderly patient with atrial fibrillation and complete AV block using pacemaker implantation.
Requires cautious application in elderly AF with AV block; leaves open optimal strategies pending prospective data.
This case illustrates an 85-year-old man with atrial fibrillation complicated by complete AV block and bradycardia. The patient also had multiple comorbidities, which might be important for the disease pathophysiology and progression. The patient was managed with supportive care aligning with the current guidelines. Additionally, the adjunct use of several definite drugs can be noted to treat the patient's condition. Finally, a pacemaker was implanted, and he was put in the standard ward afterwards.
