A note on block implementation of IIR digital filters

Abstract

A matrix formulation of the IIR digital filter implementation technique via direct convolution or FFT methods originally proposed by Gold and Jordan is described and is shown to be a particular case of the block implementation of IIR filters developed by Burrus.
