Why the study?
Prevention and choice of therapeutic strategies in patients with type 2 diabetes and heart failure is an urgent problem.
This review outlines modern concepts for the development, prevention, and treatment of heart failure in patients with type 2 diabetes.
May inform phenotype-specific therapy selection in T2D-HF; leaves open prospective validation of early prevention strategies.
