CK-MB elevation may reflect ECC/AC duration rather than injury post-CABG; case report leaves open optimal enzyme for myocardial assessment.
Postoperative CK-MB elevation correlates with the duration of extracorporeal circulation and aortic cross-clamping during coronary bypass surgery, and ASAT is a preferable alternative when CK-MB is unavailable for early evaluation of myocardial injury.
