Survey study reveals Western cultural adoption and gender differences shape globalization impacts among university youth, indicating significant shifts in traditional cultural identity.

Key Points

Investigate the impact of globalization on youth cultural identity, practices, and preferences in daily life.
Conducted a descriptive cross-sectional survey of N=150 male and female university students aged 18 to 29 years across 23 departments at the University of Sargodha using stratified sampling.
Analyzed data using descriptive statistics alongside inferential Chi-square and Gamma tests to evaluate associations between demographic predictors and globalization outcomes.
Student gender was significantly associated with differences in the perception of globalization's impact.
Greater adoption of Western cultural patterns showed a positive, significant association with experiencing a higher impact of globalization.
