Multivariate analysis demonstrated that increasing age, male gender, BMI ≥23 kg/m², and pre-existing diabetes were significantly associated with undetected elevated blood pressure.
Proteinuria was present in 6.0% of undetected cases, indicating longstanding uncontrolled blood pressure and renal damage.
