Investigates rock failure prediction using AE, DIC, and FEM for geological disaster warning.
A rock failure prediction method integrating acoustic emission (AE), digital image correlation (DIC), and finite element method (FEM) is proposed for early warning of geological disasters. AE sequences identify the accelerated crack stage, while DIC-derived displacement fields enable inverse analysis of mechanical parameters. Tests on granite and red sandstone validate the method: failure time prediction error is <1.4%, with energy error sources varying by material. Inverted parameters show degrading modulus, cohesion, and friction angle, offering insights for early warning indicators.
