The psychological problems and quality of life with non cardiac chest pain

Objective To investigate clinacal symptoms and the psychological problems in patients with noncardiac chest pain(NCCP) and analysis the the quality of life and the influence factors of it.Methods A quuestionnaire study of 63 NCCP patients and 60 healthy volunteers by Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS),SelfRating Depression Scale(SDS) and Short Form 36 Health Survey Questionnaire( SF-36).Allthe scale were analysed in comparisons of each other.Results The scores of SAS of NCCP were higher than that inherlthy volunteers[(47.32 ± 10.69)vs(33.24 ±7.86)](P ＜0.01 ),the scores of SDS of NCCP were r higher than that inherlthy volunteers[(44.57 ± 11.21 ) vs (35.78 ± 6.89)]( P ＜ 0.01 ).while the SF-36 scores of the inherlthy volunteers were significant higher than those of NCCP( P ＜ 0.01 ).Conclusion The patients with NCCP had psycholigical problems certainly.and a marked drop in the quality of life.both of anxiety and depression play important roles in the pathogenesis of the patients with NCCP.
