Why the study?
To examine associations between electrophysiological signs of myocardial metabolic disorders and cardiovascular disease risk factors in a young population.
In young adults aged 25-44, traditional cardiovascular risk factors such as LDL-C and hypertension are independently associated with early ECG signs of myocardial metabolic disorders.
ECG signs of myocardial metabolic disorders may associate with CVD risk factors in young adults; leaves open their prognostic utility or screening role.
