The article moves Gnostic hermeneutics from diagnosing the archontic regime to a typology of responses to its recognition. The object of the study is response strategies to a recognized archontic regime in Russian and Western media production and in Dostoevsky's semantics of America as theoretical case. The subject of the study is the typological structure of these strategies – the "Four R" model (repair, reform, rupture, revolution) – and the cultural-code conditions of their realization, above all the inclusive community code as the structural condition of repair. The author examines the pendulum/oscillation distinction via the third-term criterion, the institutional genealogy of the code (Maine, Chayanov, Shanin, Etkind), and the apparatus of antinomic unity (Florensky, N. O. Lossky). Particular attention is paid to the asymmetric semantization of exit: in the Russian corpus rupture and revolution are read as ontological loss, making repair the structurally dominant living strategy. The study is a philosophical-hermeneutic analysis with elements of media case study: Gnostic hermeneutics sets the optics of recognition; strategies are defined dialectically and sociologically and operationalized via indicators R1–R4; the register is diagnostic, not normative. The novelty lies in the "Four R" model, an extended typology of responses filling the double gap of Hirschman's scheme: differentiating action within the system and adding the missing cell of the destructive-instituting act. The author's particular contribution is the conceptualization of oscillation as antinomic holding that generates a nameable third term, unlike pendulum and ambivalence. The model is verified on six cases (Cyber Village, Anna Nikolaevna, Vampires of Midland, Severance, The Substance, The Boy's Word) and diachronically on the Western media corpus. Main conclusions: repair is not an ethnic property but a configurational effect of the inclusive community code with sustaining oscillation – where the code is present, recognition is held into a third term; where the code is absent or replaced by domination, recognition collapses into rupture or revolution, producing no new quality. Diachronic analysis yields two impossibility theses: rupture does not liberate, revolution does not sublate. Control cases – failed repair on Russian material, successful repair in Paddington – rule out essentialism: the code configuration, not cultural belonging, decides.
