In human history, Migration is a central force, shaping the evolution of civilizations. The Global socio-economic framework’s key component is this movement of people (within and across national borders). Yet, internal along with Rural-Urban Migration (RUM) gained key attention. Globally, enormous RUM occurs as internal migration whilst various international migrants initiate from rural areas as well as move to urban areas. In traditional farming areas, for agricultural transformation, the key impetus is the migration betwixt rural and urban areas. There are fewer workforces with farmers as various agricultural laborers are moving to urban centers, affecting the crop productivity along with farming operations’ efficiency. This negatively impacts farmers’ income and Livelihoods (LH) as a result of lower yields as well as higher costs. Therefore, it is essential to explore migration’s impact on agriculture and LHs by using statistical techniques to combine existing findings. Also, the purpose of the review is to investigate the existing research articles associated with the effects of migration on agriculture as well as rural LHs. The importance lies in its capability to associate statistical results with LH conversions. Therefore, the present review emphasizes 2 types of nature in migration, like improving financial resilience for many rural Households (HH) and indicating the danger for long-term agricultural sustainability.
