Study of formation of niosomes with low index polydispersity using ultrasound (US) has been carried out with taking into account such methodological requirements as time, frequency and power of ultrasonic treatment. Vesicles were processed using several modes of US. Then niosomes were characterized by the methods of dynamic light scattering and scanning electronic microscopy. Based on the calculations performed, the optimal parameters of ultrasound treatment were established for obtaining niosomal vesicles with a narrow size distribution and a low polydispersity index: treatment duration is 30 min, ultrasound power is 120 W. Results of the experiments confirmed that the size of vesicles and polydispersity index decrease with increasing power ultrasonic treatment. Thus, a method of formation of niosomes is proposed, at which physical characteristics of vesicles can be regulated depending on time and power of ultrasonic treatment.
