May encourage vascular surgeon engagement with QI; leaves open prospective outcome evaluation in the specialty.
Although the field of quality improvement (QI) is still somewhat novel, there have been several successful QI initiatives that have been widely adopted in health care. In this article, we will review some specific landmark projects that surgeons may be familiar with to help illustrate the ways in which we are already engaged in QI.
