This case report highlights a rare presentation of multiple histiocytomas (61 lesions) in a single patient.
Alerts clinicians to rare eruptive histiocytomas in extensive cases; leaves open etiology and management questions for prospective study.
A 39-year-old woman had 61 histiocytomas, the first of which appeared when she was 8 years old. A review of the literature revealed only four other patients with 30 or more such lesions as distinguished from the condition of generalized eruptive histiocytomas.
